Homa is a Senior Lecturer in the Division of Allied Health Sciences, within the School of Health and Social Care at London Southbank University. She specialises in the mental health of older people with interest in dementia care and the application of occupational therapy in care of people with dementia living in the community.
Homa has over fifteen years of clinical experience working in a variety of mental health care settings. She spent five years working in Community Mental Health Care of Older People at Camden and Islington NHS Trust before coming to LSBU in 2006.
Homa completed an MSc in Mental Health of Older People at UCL. She continues to develop her interest in home safety of people with dementia and clinical decision making.
