Tina’s career started as a trained nurse where she specialised in the care of older people. She then worked in the third sector for local charities supporting older people, setting up projects for the lonely and isolated. Tina established Embracing Age in 2014, a charity that enhances the quality of life of care home residents through trained volunteers offering friendship and support. Tina brings a wealth of experience in both the local care homes and working with older people to support their wellbeing. She’s seen first-hand the benefits of intergenerational connections for care home residents so is keen to promote and support the work of Brighter Together.​
